Melbourn Village College

Welcome to Melbourn Village College

May I start by welcoming you to Melbourn Village College. Over the last fifty years the College has earned the reputation as a caring and listening organisation that respects and values the worth of all its members.

We strive to provide an excellent learning environment where students feel safe, supported and are given the opportunities to develop the skills that will equip them for life-long learning in a changing society. Our students enjoy positive relationships with staff and we pride ourselves on the calm and purposeful working atmosphere around the College.

In recent years students have consistently achieved above the national average in examination results, with the majority continuing in full time education when they leave us. We are committed to improving teaching and learning further, through the sharing of good practice both within the College and with our partner schools.

We focus on celebrating all success and encourage students to be proud of their achievements and talents.  We aim to offer them the ‘chance to shine'.

We have been a Specialist Performing Arts College since 2002 and have been successful in the retention of our Artsmark Gold status. Our extensive range of extra-curricular activities and our work with the youth and community programmes means that local people of all ages can benefit from what we offer and we hope that families see us as much more than just the local secondary school.

If you would like to visit the College, we would be delighted to welcomeyou see a working college day. Individual visits may be arranged by contacting the College directly.

I look forward to meeting you.
