MVC Instrumental
From September 2011 the college will source its own instrumental tutors rather than employing the services of Cambridge Music. In recent years we have enjoyed the teaching of some outstanding musicians but we now want to explore new possibilities rather than being tied to a fixed and expensive contract. These new freedoms will include the opportunity to;
Expand the teaching hours if there is demand
Reduce long waiting lists of popular instruments
Explore greater flexibility of teaching hours to include before and after school
Continue and possibly expand the excellent Form Time ensembles
Provide Music GCSE students with free tuition for one instrument/voice
During this process we will seek to maintain continuity by trying to keep some of our current excellent tutors.
